2008 REVIEWS (BY NEW YORK CITY RELEASE DATE)

Brief explanation: Since I see films at all sorts of different times apart from their general release (e.g. film festivals, screener tapes, etc.), often it's been the case that I will have seen a film well in advance of its commercial opening. This means that I'll have had a review up for quite some time, and casual visitors to the Hack won't be aware that I've already weighed in on whatever film is the "talking point" of the weekend. Most regular visitors to the Hack won't much care, since that's generally not what you expect from this site anyway. But since I feel somewhat obliged these days to at least pretend to be a "real" critic, I've added this listing for convenience.
